Purpose & Scope:
- Responsible for the strategic management of Specialty Products and Electronics Special Gases portfolio to maximise financial targets. The role will provide strategic direction in product sourcing, supply chain optimisation, inventory management, and assets deployment efficiency improvement, while serving as the key liaison with suppliers and authorities for product development and product marketing.
- Provide leadership in managing portfolio profitability, seek opportunity for new portfolio enlargement, identify pricing opportunities and develop industry specific product strategy
- Lead customer and industry intelligence, develop insight into customer and market segments, establish application and product specification to support sales growth
- Collaborate with finance and sales during annual planning process, own traded product cost accountability, facilitate and justify capex processes, and co-own sales performance with the sales team to ensure financial commitments and business targets are met.
- Monitor competitor's product strategy and market movement, derive counter action, both defensive and/or offensive
Primary Responsibilities
Product Management & Supply
- Develop product profitability analysis. Identify pricing improvement opportunity and monitor execution.
- Work with Fico and Sales to develop annual plan, promotion activities and manage portfolio profitability and monitor the cost and price movement throughout the year.
- Champion market segment/competitor analysis and monitoring to track long-term product supply/demand levels.
- Safety & Compliance
- Partner with SHEQ and Procurement to drive the NPPA and vendor qualification processes, ensuring cross-functional alignment, full safety compliance, and adherence to all licensing, audit, and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Business Manager
- Liaison with authority on products registration, licensing, compliance in safety related requirement, in specific pharma vigilant compliance for medical products
- Improve communications system, processes and networking with customers and government bodies to ensure compliance
- Identify training needs for product sales or safe product handling for sales and indirect channel staff, arrange training to be conducted by qualified individual from the group or regional expertise
Strategy development & implementation
- Monitor & manage sourcing & prices of Trading Products as well as key raw material prices at domestic & international level.
- Own and optimise the end-to-end supply chain model for traded products by defining delivery lead times, minimum order quantities, turnaround time, and key supply parameters to maximise profitability and working capital efficiency. Lead the SAP inventory setup and governance to ensure accuracy, visibility, and effective inventory control across the portfolio
- Liaise with supplier, Linde regional product management team to understand movement or product costing, PVD situation and new sources available to be able to derive action in country, transfer cost, reduce or increase inventory.
Managing profitability
- Owns profit performance of product line & identify profit improvement opportunities
- Solid understanding of all the elements of product costing and volume change impact when establishing prices and product strategies
- Work closely with Sales, Procurement, and Regional Sourcing as one team to identify high-value opportunities, improve cost competitiveness, and drive practical cost-saving and sourcing optimisation initiatives that deliver measurable results.

- BCP champion for pricing
- Sets and maintains pricing guidelines - approves all new business prices
- Understand volume drivers & pricing opportunities in key markets.
- Introduce new pricing elements and responsible for all pricing initiatives.
- Responsible for implementation and management of surcharges where required
BCP
- Maintain standard product contracts & introduction of new commercial terms when required
- Managing the interface with legal, particularly around queries on contract terms and conditions
- Supporting Sales with commercial best practices and product knowledge

- Typically 7+ years of experience in Marketing
- Techno-commercial experience of 3 to 5 years

- In-depth knowledge of supply components
- Sales experience would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with SAP ERP system would be an advantage
