Title: Senior, ProdOps Specialist
Role Overview
The Senior ProdOps Specialist is responsible for the technical reliability and operational integrity of our transaction platforms. This role serves as the high-level technical bridge between Product Management, Software Development, and External Partners. You will focus on the health of the live environment, ensuring that complex third-party integrations and transaction lifecycles function without interruption.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Technical Investigation & Diagnostics
- Log & Trace Analysis: Analyze application logs and system traces to identify failure points, latency issues, or bottlenecks in the production environment.
- Production Deep-Dives: Lead deep-dive investigations into production defects and software anomalies to ensure rapid resolution.
- Technical Liaison: Partner with Software Development teams to isolate root causes and validate technical fixes.
- Environment Validation: Reproduce complex issues in Staging/UAT environments and perform rigorous validation of hotfixes prior to production deployment.
2. Third-Party Integration & Connectivity
- External Integration Support: Manage and support existing third-party system integrations, acting as the primary technical point of contact for external partner troubleshooting.
- Payload & Protocol Validation: Analyze and validate RESTful API payloads (JSON/XML), response codes, and integration behaviors.
- Secure Connectivity: Coordinate and validate IP whitelisting requests and secure network-level access for all third-party system connections.
3. Transactional Oversight & Operations
- Lifecycle Management: Review and improve the end-to-end transaction lifecycle: Initiation → Processing → Settlement → Reconciliation.
- Process Automation: Drive the automation of repetitive BAU (Business As Usual) operational tasks to improve system efficiency.
- Business Continuity: Lead and participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and BCP exercises to ensure system resiliency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Background: 2–5 years of experience in Technical Production Support, L3 Application Support, or Technical Product Operations.
- Log Analysis: Proven ability to analyze logs and system traces to troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Third-Party Systems: Experience supporting third-party system integrations and managing external technical relationships.
- API Literacy: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs (JSON/XML) and the ability to interpret API response codes.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and investigating transactional data flows.
- Network & Security: Experience handling IP whitelisting and network-level access validation.
- Systems Resiliency: Experience participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) or BCP exercises.
Added Advantage
- Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools like JIRA and Kibana.
- Exposure to ledger-based architectures or digital wallet systems.
- Ability to automate manual workflows using scripts or internal tools.
