Product Operations Engineer (Chinese / Mandarin Proficiency)

Shift: Permanent Night shift Supporting North America Hours. Based either AP1 or AP2

Salary: Up to RM 4,500 + allowance

Language – Chinese / Mandarin (Mandatory)

Serves as the product-focused representative for Worldwide Operations. Develops factory strategies and plans that align with product plans and roadmaps. Leverages metrics to drive improvements in new production, the introduction process, and product quality — both at launch and across the program's lifecycle. Ensures Operations reaches Ready to Ship status and successfully transitions into production/sustaining. Applies the Program Review Process (PrP)/Phase Gate Process to guide products from definition through the sustaining phase. Leads action plans and strategies aimed at lowering overall manufacturing transformation costs. Drives quality improvements through risk assessment and mitigation, eliminating defect sources across design, supplier, new product introduction, and manufacturing processes. Champions continuous improvement in the PrP process, product manufacturability and flexibility, and operations cycle time and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works independently, delivering results under close leadership oversight; asks for help as needed to ensure tasks are completed
• Initiates root cause analysis on assigned tasks and issues, identifies problems within established processes, and expands task scope as necessary
• Initiates pre-defined corrective actions with moderate guidance
• Completes multiple tasks within the broader project plan, meets deadlines, tracks and reports progress, and guides small teams or issues toward resolution with coaching
• Seeks guidance when uncertain about prioritizing a course of action; completes projects as directed by leadership
• Accurately processes and interprets basic data, applying sound problem-solving methods to work assignments
• Participates in the core team and keeps members informed of actions and plans
• Participates in the extended team and keeps members informed of actions and plans
• Follows the launch schedule template with guidance
• Identifies straightforward NUDDs (New, Unique, Different, or Difficult) and develops mitigation plans with guidance
• Uses the template to build Functional Plans (FP) for simple product launches with guidance
• Adheres to build guidelines across all engineering and production builds
• Develops containment plans for straightforward excursion management
• Creates Golden Configs (GC) for less complex products with guidance
• Manages existing BOMs (Bill of Materials) with limited guidance
• Follows standard practices and procedures when analyzing situations or data with readily available answers
