JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for owning and managing a portfolio of HR cloud products, including leading product development initiatives and special projects. This role leverages Generative AI and data-driven insights across the entire product lifecycle from discovery and design to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement to accelerate innovation, enhance customer value, and drive business growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Ownership
- Define and manage the product roadmap based on customer needs, stakeholder input, market trends, and AI-assisted insights (e.g. usage analytics, support signals, feedback clustering).
- Create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog using value-based and outcome-driven frameworks, leveraging AI tools where appropriate for requirement discovery, impact analysis, and backlog grooming.
- Ensure backlog items are clearly defined, unambiguous, and well-understood by business and development teams; apply AI-assisted documentation, acceptance criteria generation, and edge-case analysis to improve clarity and speed.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, customer experience, sales, compliance, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Ensure features are delivered on time with acceptable quality, balancing speed, risk, and customer impact.
- Make informed trade-off decisions on features, fixes, and experiments per sprint or release, guided by customer value, adoption signals, and business outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on all product-related matters, including roadmap alignment, scope decisions, and release communications.
AI-Enabled Product Development
- Apply Generative AI across all stages of product development, including:
- Problem discovery and user research synthesis
- PRD drafting and refinement
- UX copy and workflow ideation
- Test case generation and acceptance criteria validation
- Release notes, help content, and internal enablement materials
- Partner with engineering and data teams to identify opportunities for AI-powered features (e.g. copilots, recommendations, intelligent automation) within HR workflows.
- Ensure AI usage aligns with data privacy, security, governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g. PDPA, GDPR where applicable).
- Evaluate AI tooling, platforms, and models for product and internal efficiency use cases.
Project Management
- Act as the project manager for special initiatives involving product customization, integrations, or strategic partner solutions.
- Clearly communicate project objectives, scope, risks, and success metrics at key milestones to secure stakeholder alignment.
- Conduct commercial discussions and negotiations related to scope, timelines, and cost.
- Drive the use of project management tools, metrics, and processes to ensure projects remain cost-effective and outcome-focused.
- Guide stakeholders toward pragmatic compromises and shared expectations.
- Plan and manage project timelines, dependencies, and resource needs.
- Ensure delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
Go-To-Market & Adoption (AI-Powered SaaS)
- Partner with sales, marketing, and CX teams to support AI-driven go-to-market strategies, including positioning, pricing inputs, and packaging of new features.
- Use product analytics, customer behavior data, and AI-assisted insights to:
- Identify adoption gaps
- Improve onboarding and self-service journeys
- Drive feature discovery and usage
- Support launch readiness through AI-assisted enablement materials (FAQs, demos, knowledge base content, internal training).
- Continuously measure success using adoption, retention, and customer satisfaction metrics, and iterate rapidly.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of agile product development and backlog management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and customer needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Solid project management and delivery skills, including budget and timeline ownership.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
AI & Technical Capabilities (Strong Plus)
- Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools (e.g. LLMs, copilots, AI-assisted analytics) in product, delivery, or operational workflows.
- Ability to reason about technical trade-offs and system behavior (APIs, integrations, data flows, cloud platforms).
- Familiarity with SaaS architecture concepts, security considerations, and scalability concerns.
- Comfortable working closely with engineering teams and understanding technical constraints without being hands-on coding.
- Experience in HR-tech, payroll, compliance-driven systems, or regulated domains is an advantage.
