Job Description

The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product features that align with the company's strategy and business goals. This role serves as the single point of accountability for product requirements, working closely with cross-functional teamsincluding Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Business Unitsto ensure high-quality execution and impactful product outcomes. The Product Owner drives product vision, translates user and business needs into actionable requirements, and ensures the product continuously evolves to meet market, regulatory, and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Establish and maintain a clear Product Vision aligned with the company's strategic direction.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and customer analysis to inform product strategy and roadmap.
  • Define product success metrics (KPIs / OKRs) and track performance against targets.

Requirement Ownership & Product Planning

  • Lead requirement discovery through stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and user research.
  • Draft and maintain PRDs, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria with clarity and precision.
  • Define product scope and distinguish between must-have and good-to-have features.
  • Prioritize requirements objectively by balancing business value, technical constraints, compliance considerations, and cost.

Cross-team Alignment & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Business Development, and Client teams.
  • Communicate requirements clearly to ensure alignment on expectations, delivery standards, and timelines.
  • Act as the sole requirement owner, making informed decisions and resolving conflicts across teams.

Delivery & Execution Management

  • Plan development cycles, including sprint and release timelines.
  • Work with PMs and Tech Leads to track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct UAT and validate feature quality to ensure each release delivers business value.
  • Adapt quickly to changing requirements while maintaining delivery commitments.

Product Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor product data (volume, usage, retention, financial impact, etc.).
  • Perform root-cause analysis on issues and propose improvements.
  • Lead rapid iteration cycles to enhance product efficiency and user experience.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback from customers, business teams, and stakeholders to drive continuous optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 36 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or related roles.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into structured product requirements.
  • Experience creating PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Solid understanding of user research, data-driven decision-making, and agile development processes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, payments, digital banking, brokerage, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, or risk considerations in product development.
  • Background in technical environments (engineering, QA, system integration) is a plus.
  • Certifications in Product Ownership or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PSPO).
