Job Description:
We are seeking a Manufacturing and Supplier Quality Engineer to lead Altera's Development Kit quality across the product lifecycle. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, operations and manufacturing suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met from early concept through production. You will drive issue resolution, oversee supplier quality performance and implement process controls and data analytics to maintain high reliability and quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for manufacturing quality of Altera FPGA development kits.
- Interfaces with development kits engineering teams, operation groups and outsource partners to ensure development kits quality and reliability meeting Altera requirements.
- Drives development and execution of development kits qualification strategies, plans and adherence to release criteria.
- Leads and drives development kits RMA, quality incident root causing analysis, resolution, and corrective and preventive actions with cross functional team.
- Leads contract manufacturer (CM) supplier quality management to comply with Altera quality requirements. Define and monitor CM KPIs and performance.
- Monitors post-launch quality results and identify areas for improvement. Drives implementation of learning across contract manufacturers.
- Plans, coordinates and leads CM quality audit until full closure of corrective actions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Micro-Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Working knowledge of board manufacturing processes and board-level reliability testing methodologies
- Experience with supplier quality management and applying statistical analysis to quality and reliability data
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standard and quality system requirements
- Experience with leadership and stakeholder management
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- +10 years experience optimizing board manufacturing workflows and resolving board-level reliability issues and supplier quality management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methods
- Practical experience implementing or auditing ISO 9001:2015 quality systems
- Experience leading complex or cross-functional technical initiatives and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Advanced analytical capabilities and data-driven decision making
