Role
In this role, you will take ownership of specific domains within the mobile app, cards, and payments ecosystem, transforming business objectives into elegant, user-centric digital solutions.
Your goal is to balance product business logic with a high-fidelity design sense. You will be responsible for ensuring that every feature, from a simple payment transfer to complex card management is intuitive, visually cohesive, and aligned with market demands. You will lead with a proactive mindset, managing your own capacity to drive end-to-end delivery while maintaining a sharp focus on the look and feel and commercial success of the product.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and drive the roadmap for assigned product modules, ensuring they align with broader business goals and provide a competitive edge in the digital banking space.
- Requirements Engineering: Author high-quality Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and detailed User Stories. You will translate complex business and regulatory needs into clear, actionable technical specifications for the engineering team.
- Experience & Design Advocacy: Collaborate deeply with UI/UX designers to create seamless, high-quality user journeys.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the central point of contact to drive alignment across various departments, including Engineering, Design, Shariah, Compliance, Legal, and Customer Support, ensuring a unified approach to product delivery.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to ensure KAF Digital Bank's mobile experience remains best-in-class.
- End-to-End Product Lifecycle: Oversee the journey from ideation and wireframing to development, testing, and launch, ensuring the final product matches the original design intent and business goals.
- User Acceptance Testing: Lead the functional validation of your products by writing comprehensive test cases and executing UAT
- GTM Planning & Enablement: Lead Go-To-Market strategy and enablement for your features, ensuring internal stakeholders are ready and the product's value is clearly communicated to the market.
- Analytics & Performance: Monitor key product metrics and performance data to iterate on the experience and justify product pivots.
Requirements
- Experience: 2 to 5 years in Product Management or Product Ownership, with a specific focus on B2C mobile applications.
- Strong Product Sense: A natural eye for high-quality UI/UX and a deep understanding of what makes a consumer product successful.
- Technical Rigor: Proficiency in writing detailed PRDs and User Stories, as well as translating requirements into comprehensive test cases for the UAT cycle.
- Business Acumen: Ability to understand the business why and translate it into a compelling product experience.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using data to identify friction points and measure the impact of product changes.
- Agile Methodology: Proven experience working in Agile environments, managing backlogs, and leading sprints.
- Proactiveness & Drive: A self-starter who takes full ownership of their scope and proactively drives projects to completion.
- Customer Focus: A relentless commitment to solving user problems through thoughtful design and functionality.
Nice to have
- Direct experience in Fintech, Banking, or Payments.
- Familiarity with PayNet products (DuitNow, etc.) and the Malaysian digital payment landscape.
- Experience in a Zero-to-One environment, having helped launch or scale a product from scratch.
