PRODUCTION AND QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

MYFutureJobs Negeri Sembilan is hiring on behalf of a leading manufacturer of high-performance concrete products for construction and infrastructure projects.

PRODUCTION & QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

Salary: RM3,500–RM4,500 per month

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning and Monitoring

• Conduct and chair weekly production meetings.

• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly production output.

• Plan material usage according to production schedules.

• Analyse material consumption and production variances.

• Ensure production targets and required cycle times are achieved.

• Improve production efficiency while minimising material rejection and wastage.

• Investigate production issues and recommend effective solutions.

Machine Operation and Maintenance

• Ensure machinery is operated according to established SOPs.

• Verify machine settings before production begins.

• Conduct daily basic machine inspections and cleaning.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Diagnose machine breakdowns and carry out basic repairs or parts replacement when required.

• Minimise machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.

• Report machine faults and spare-part requirements promptly.

Quality Control

• Conduct in-process inspections and monitor product quality.

• Identify, isolate and report defective products.

• Review performance, quality objective and production variance reports.

• Implement corrective measures to reduce defects and improve product quality.

• Ensure production processes and finished products meet established quality standards.

Documentation, Safety and Housekeeping

• Maintain accurate production records, check sheets and machine downtime reports.

• Ensure all machine safety devices are functioning correctly.

• Comply with workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Maintain machines and production areas according to 5S practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Preferably at least one year of relevant working experience.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Willing to learn and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willing to be based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

ADDED ADVANTAGES

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Exposure to quality control, concrete products, precast concrete or other construction materials.

• Experience with production machinery, preventive maintenance or equipment troubleshooting.

• Understanding of production planning, process improvement and quality standards.
