Production & Assembly Manager

We are looking for an experienced Production & Assembly Manager to lead and oversee daily assembly operations, production performance, quality, inventory, and warehouse activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, solid production management experience, and the ability to drive efficiency and continuous improvement in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily/nightly assembly activities according to the production schedule.
• Ensure production targets, output, quality, and delivery requirements are consistently achieved.
• Monitor production progress and take immediate corrective action to address delays, equipment breakdowns, manpower shortages, and material shortages.
• Ensure all assembly activities comply with approved work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize manpower and resources.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure products and assembly processes meet customer and company quality requirements.
• Work closely with the Quality Department to address defects, rework, and non-conformance issues.
• Monitor recurring quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions using QC tools such as PDCA, 7 QC Tools, 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA .
• Ensure defective and non-conforming materials/products are properly identified, controlled, and segregated.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and lead periodic physical inventory stock takes.
• Manage incoming and outgoing warehouse activities and ensure proper material flow and inventory control.
• Lead, motivate, and develop production and warehouse teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives within production and assembly operations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and operational policies.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field .
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in production management, assembly, or manufacturing , preferably in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and ERP/MRP systems .
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies .
• Good knowledge of quality improvement tools, including PDCA, 7 QC Tools, 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA .
• Experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and stock taking is required.
• Positive attitude, high level of integrity, and strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
