Our client operates within the sheet metal manufacturing industry. This role will be reporting directly to the Production Plant Manager, and you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations. This includes managing key processes such as turret punching, bending, welding, and assembly, while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
The role also involves close collaboration with other internal teams to drive operational excellence, streamline workflows, and support the achievement of production goals.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate entire production process
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (direct and indirect workers and supervisors.)
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Plan for maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions, zero accident rates at all times
- Contribute to production planning and budgeting
- Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
Role Requirement
- Possess Bachelor&aposs Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as Production Manager / Supervisor with solid knowledge and understanding of production management
- Experience in Sheet Metal Industry is preferred
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office (especially in Excel) and ERP software
- Able to understand engineering drawings and bill of material
