We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the CNC machining operations in a high-volume precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily CNC machining operations, including Turning, Milling, and Multi-Axis machining.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved while maintaining on-time delivery.
- Drive production efficiency by improving OEE, throughput, cycle time, machine utilization, and overall productivity.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with process control standards, work instructions, and quality requirements.
- Partner with the Quality team to reduce defects, improve process capability, and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues.
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators across multiple shifts.
- Manage manpower planning and ensure effective shift handovers and production discipline.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to maximize machine uptime and improve equipment reliability.
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production execution.
- Drive manufacturing cost improvements through enhanced labor efficiency, machine utilization, and scrap reduction.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp-up activities, and capacity expansion projects.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS policies and manufacturing standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a CNC machining manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing production teams.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, including Turning, Milling, and Multi-Axis machining.
- Good understanding of production planning, line balancing, process optimization, and cycle time improvement.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, OEE, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work closely with shop floor teams.
- Excellent communication, team management, and stakeholder management skills.
