Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the final assembly and testing operations of RF (Radio Frequency) products across multiple manufacturing sites in Singapore and Malaysia. This role ensures production targets are achieved with high standards of quality, cost efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery, while maintaining compliance with RF, quality, and regulatory requirements. The position requires regular travel between sites and close coordination with cross-functional and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

  • Plan, organize, and manage final assembly and RF testing operations across Singapore and Malaysia production sites.
  • Ensure alignment of production plans, capacity, and resources between regional facilities.
  • Monitor daily production output, yield, cycle time, and bottlenecks; drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and test resources across locations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce rework, and improve first-pass yield.

RF Assembly & Testing Oversight

  • Supervise assembly of RF modules, subsystems, and products, including mechanical, electrical, and RF integration.
  • Oversee RF testing processes such as functional testing, calibration, tuning, and final acceptance testing.
  • Ensure proper handling, calibration, and usage of RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters) at all sites.
  • Work closely with Engineering to resolve RF performance issues, test failures, and production challenges.

Regional & Site Management

  • Provide operational leadership and support to production teams in Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and best practices across all locations.
  • Support capacity expansion, line transfer, and process standardization between regional sites.
  • Act as the key point of contact for regional manufacturing performance and escalation.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure products meet defined RF performance, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Enforce adherence to quality systems, ESD controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits, regulatory audits).
  • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for assembly or test-related defects.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors, technicians, and test engineers across sites.
  • Allocate manpower effectively to meet production demands in both Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support technical skill development, especially in RF assembly and testing.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Planning teams to ensure material availability and mitigate shortages across regions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and NPI teams during product introduction, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
  • Interface with Quality and Customer Support teams to address product and customer-related issues.

Travel Requirement

  • Regular travel is required between Singapore and Malaysia to support production operations, audits, line transfers, and issue resolution
  • Travel frequency may vary based on production needs, NPI activities, andoperational priorities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing manufacturing operations in Singapore and/or Malaysia.
  • Exposure to NPI, production ramp-up, and site-to-site transfers.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for RF products (FCC, CE, ETSI).

Skillsets

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of RF principles, assembly processes, and production test methodologies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of RF test equipment and production test environments.
  • Experience managing manufacturing KPIs, yield analysis, and process control.
  • Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001, IPC standards, ESD control)
  • Ability to interpret schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and work instructions.

Soft Skills

  • Effective communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a multi-site manufacturing environment.

Minimum Years of Experience

  • 812 years of experience in electronics or RF manufacturing.
  • Minimum 35 years in a production management or supervisory role, preferably with multi-site or regional responsibility.
  • Strong experience in final assembly and RF testing of RF products.
