Production Manager

The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence. The will also run quality assessment to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Description

• Lead and oversee daily/nightly assembly operations to ensure production schedules, output targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved.
• Monitor production progress and promptly address operational issues such as manpower shortages, equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and production delays.
• Ensure all assembly activities comply with approved work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer quality requirements.
• Drive productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives by reducing downtime, enhancing efficiency, and applying Lean manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to resolve operational and quality-related issues, including corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage inventory accuracy, physical stock takes, and warehouse operations while ensuring proper control of non-conforming materials and products.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling processes, including ERP/MRP systems.
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and productivity enhancement methodologies.
• Experience in quality management systems and problem-solving methodologies such as PDCA, 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, and other QC tools.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control processes.
