PRODUCTION OPERATOR / PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Rx Sciences Sdn Bhd is a veterinary pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company focused on companion animal medicine. We manufacture non-sterile oral formulations (tablets, capsules) in our 250 sqm GMP facility in Balakong, Selangor.

Our medications help veterinarians treat companion animals (dogs, cats) across Malaysia and export to 43+ countries.

Reports to: Production Assistant

Compensation:

• Production Assistant (entry-level): MYR $36,000-48,000/year
• Production Operator ( >3 years experienced): MYR 48,000 - $66,000/year
• Location: Balakong (on-site, manufacturing facility)
• Start Date: March 2026

You are part of our core production team—the people who actually make the medicine. Working under the Production Supervisor, you'll operate pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, follow precise procedures, complete batch records, and ensure every product meets quality standards before it reaches veterinarians and their patients.

This is hands-on manufacturing work. You'll spend your day on the production floor: weighing materials, operating mixers and tablet presses, filling vials, packaging finished products, cleaning equipment, and documenting everything according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

If you've never worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing: We'll train you. You need to be detail-oriented, follow instructions precisely, and care about quality—we'll teach you the technical skills.

If you have pharma/food manufacturing experience: You'll advance faster, potentially qualifying for sterile operations or lead operator roles within 6-12 months.

Education:

• Minimum: GCE O Level or ITE certificate
• Preferred: Diploma in:
• Chemical Engineering
• Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Food Science
• Biotechnology
• Applied Chemistry
• Or related technical field

Experience:

• No experience required
• Preferred: 1-2 years in manufacturing (pharmaceutical, food, chemical, electronics)
• Helpful: Experience in quality-controlled environment (ISO, GMP, HACCP)

Skills:

• Basic math - can calculate percentages, conversions (we'll provide formulas)
• Computer literacy - can use email, enter data into systems
• Reading/writing English - batch records and SOPs are in English
• Physical fitness - can lift 25kg, stand for 4-6 hours, climb stairs

Attributes (Most Important):

• Detail-oriented - you notice small differences, catch errors
• Follow instructions precisely - SOPs must be followed exactly, no shortcuts
• Honest - if you make a mistake, you report it immediately (we can fix mistakes, but only if we know about them)
• Team player - production requires coordination with other operators
• Quality-minded - you care about making medicine correctly, not just quickly
