Production Planner

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven Production Planner to manage and improve production planning and reporting activities within the production line. This role is critical in ensuring On-Time Delivery (OTD), balancing Turnaround Time (TAT), and maintaining smooth coordination between production, customer support, and logistics. You will play a key role in daily scheduling, risk identification, capacity planning, and performance reporting across the clusters.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Degree holder in Supply Chain management or any relevant discipline.
• Experience in repair process and production planning.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in Production Planning, Production Control, or Supply Chain Planning in a manufacturing or high-mix production environment. Aviation MRO experience is an added advantage.
• Experience in aviation MRO or high-mix environment is an advantage.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VBA) and basic Power BI.
• Familiar with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AMOS).
• Able to analyses data, run simple simulations, and support planning decisions.
• Good understanding of capacity planning and workload balance.
• Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Very good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling:

• Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery in line with customer requirements.
• Plan and sequence purchase orders (POs) according to available production capacity.
• Continuously monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery commitments and change priorities.

Performance Simulation & Scenario Planning

• Utilize simulation tools to evaluate production capacity and forecast performance under varying conditions.
• Analyze potential impacts of disruptions such as machine breakdowns, capacity overload, or material shortages, and develop mitigation scenarios.

Performance Monitoring & Coordination

• Track purchase order (PO) progress throughout the production lifecycle, including Turnaround Time (TAT) and On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
• Maintain close coordination with Cluster Leaders to ensure transparency on production status and timely issue escalation.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Support to align on order status, priorities, and customer expectations.

Resource Planning

• Provide data-driven recommendations to Production on manpower and resource allocation to support schedule adherence and optimize throughput.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare and deliver regular production performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly), including key KPIs such as output, TAT, and OTD.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities, supporting fact-based decision-making.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all planning activities comply with company procedures, as well as Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning documentation and records.

Communication & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Act as a key interface between Production, Planning, and Customer Services to ensure alignment on priorities, performance, and customer requirements.
• Support the prioritization of urgent or special customer demands while maintaining overall production stability.
