KEY ROLES
To carry out research and training within department in the area of Finance and Islamic Finance. Specifically to teach Shariah Audit, Fiqh Muamalat and Islamic Finance Contract, Islamic Financial Legal Framework & Governance, Risk Management in Islamic Financial Institution.
To teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level in areas allocated by the Head of Section.
To carry out research and produce publications, or other research outputs.
To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate, taught graduate (Masters) or research graduate (PhD) students.
To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
To participate in the administration of the departments programmes of study and other activities as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Obtained PhD in Finance / Islamic Finance / Islamic Banking / Shariah Law or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years teaching and industry experience is preferable.
A strong research and publication track record are highly desirable.
Possesses a mature positive attitude and is a good team player.
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.
Technology savvy and willing to learn new teaching methods and strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds.
