Minimum Qualification

• A Bachelor's Degree in STEM fields is preferred.
• Prior teaching/mentoring experience is an advantage.

Competencies Required

1. Fluency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
2. Strong interpersonal communication, analytical, written, and oral presentation skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, social media, and other web tools.
4. Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Ability to work effectively in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment.
7. Ability to forge connections and work cooperatively with partners and stakeholders from various sectors.

Job Description

1. Plan, organise, coordinate, and execute Penang Science Cluster programs and activities to teach and mentor 21st century skills such as creativity, communication, collaboration, independence, and perseverance through workshops in coding, robotics, embedded systems, science, Math, maker education etc. happening in schools, community spaces, Penang Science Caf or during the Penang International Science Fair
2. Inspire students with a curiosity for science and technology, cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship
3. Network, recruit, and train volunteers as mentors for Penang Science Cluster's programs and to support Penang Science Cluster in carrying out programs and competitions
4. Work with KPM, JPN, schools, partners and industry to ensure full support and smooth running of Penang Science Cluster programs
5. Create and execute STEAM (STEM + Arts) outreach activities to reach all students in Penang.
