Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases (NCEIG) is one of Nikkiso Product Company which mainly focus on manufacturer of heat exchangers, vaporizers, cryogenic pump for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an accountable Project Engineer for NCEIG in Subang Jaya, Selangor to be responsible for equipment design and project execution. You will design, schedule, and manage all the technical engineering and manufacturing activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, overseeing daily activities to meet milestones.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications, engineering codes, regulations, and quality standards (including piping and pressure vessel design codes).
  • Prepare technical studies, cost estimates, project reports, and documentation (e.g., project schedules, progress reports, datasheets, installation manuals).
  • Support cost control by reviewing cost impact with the Project Lead.
  • Create and update Bills of Materials (BOM) in CAD and M1 (cloud-based ERP system).
  • Select suitable components based on project and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with Design Engineering to ensure timely and accurate completion of design deliverables.
  • Coordinate and act as liaison between internal departments, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee testing activities and manage non-conforming material (NCM) issues.
  • Conduct field visits, inspections, and ensure site safety compliance.
  • Support or perform 2D/3D CAD modelling and drawing modifications (added advantage).
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and follow direction from the reporting superior.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment within a manufacturing facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. The employee must be able to sit, stand, or work at the computer for prolonged periods. The position supports operations in the manufacturing facility, which requires being on the shop floor for extended periods of time. Safety equipment must be utilized as specified to enter production areas. May be subject to hot and cold environments, loud noise, and typical manufacturing exposures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. This role will require global travel to a Customer's office or site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and work with various materials and/or tools, as well as work and bend at different heights, in various temperatures, and be on feet for an extended period of time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering is preferred.
  • 2 to 3 Years of experience in Engineering. Project management a plus.
  • Exposure to cryogenic or natural gas industry is highly desired.
  • Good communication skills, proven discipline to carry out assigned tasks with little supervision and proven Team Player.
  • Advance skills in MS Office and Project suites are required.
  • Experience with large manufacturing sites or construction facilities is preferred.
  • Experience with engineering software such as 2D/3D AutoCAD is highly desired.
  • Experience with Pressure vessel and heat exchanger design is highly desired.
  • Previous experience and success working in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Good knowledge in ASME Section VIII.
