Job Description
1. Project Planning and Coordination
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate activities between engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues.
- Support project managers in achieving project milestones.
2. Technical Management
- Review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
- Ensure technical solutions meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Resolve engineering and technical issues during project execution.
- Manage design changes and technical documentation.
3. Cost and Budget Control
- Support cost estimation and budget preparation.
- Track project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Review contractor claims, variations, and change orders.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
4. Schedule Management
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Monitor project activities against planned timelines.
- Report schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Coordinate project deliverables to meet deadlines.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks.
- Review test results and commissioning activities.
- Support quality audits and corrective actions.
6. Risk and Safety Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews.
- Promote safe work practices throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Procurement and Contract Support
- Prepare technical specifications for procurement.
- Evaluate vendor and contractor technical submissions.
- Support contract administration and technical negotiations.
- Monitor supplier performance and deliverables.
8. Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare project status reports and presentations.
- Facilitate technical meetings and discussions.
- Communicate project updates, issues, and recommendations to management.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and external parties when required.
