Project Management Officer (Banking- Credit/Debit Card)

Salt Talent Search is looking for a PMO for a 9 months contract role. You will be embedded with the client for a nine - month engagement and will serve as the central coordination point across business, product, operations, technology, risk, compliance, scheme, and vendor stakeholders. The resource will drive programme governance, implementation tracking, launch readiness activities, and issue resolution to ensure a successful card launch. This role aligns with the PMO support workstream defined for Islamic credit card launch programme

What Will You Do:

• Manage day-to-day project coordination across all implementation workstreams, including product, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and marketing.
• Establish and maintain project plans, governance frameworks, reporting cadence, RAID logs, and action trackers.
• Coordinate implementation activities across issuer processor, scheme, digital channels, operations, and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions relating to Islamic card product setup, operational readiness, customer journeys, and implementation requirements.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and governance activities associated with Islamic banking and card issuance requirements.
• Drive launch readiness activities covering technology, operations, customer servicing, digital channels, marketing, training, and business preparedness.
• Maintain visibility of critical-path items and key implementation dependencies.
• Coordinate testing, certification, user acceptance testing (UAT), operational readiness reviews, and production deployment activities.
• Act as the central liaison between client stakeholders, Mastercard teams, implementation partners, and external vendors.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across working-level and senior management audiences.

What Do You Need:

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in programme management, PMO, banking transformation, cards and payments, consulting, or financial services.
• Proven experience managing large cross-functional implementation programmes involving business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and vendor teams.
• Strong understanding of card issuing programmes, payment ecosystems, and card launch delivery processes.
• Experience supporting card product launches, card processor migrations, scheme implementations, digital banking initiatives, or payment transformation programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage governance structures, executive reporting, project planning, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
