About The Company

Your role will require seamless interfacing with upstream and downstream partners, managing a full spectrum of engineering disciplinesfrom marine and civil to mechanical, E&I, and piping.

About The Job

  • Lead and manage the Project Management (PM) process across development stages (conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, and FID, execution, commissioning, and post-implementation evaluation), ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and resources are well-defined and approved.
  • Establish project baselines including execution strategies, commissioning approach, handover plans, budgets, risk registers, and schedules
  • Work with engineering consultants to review and evaluate design options, process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and layout drawings to identify the most viable and cost-effective solution.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment; develop realistic project schedules with key milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensure all decision documents and approval requirements are completed at each stage of project development, enabling timely Final Investment Decisions (FID).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle; facilitate workshops with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project uncertainties.
  • Liaise with Project Owners, Steering Committees, Business Units, and Global counterparts to align on project definition, contracting strategies, and execution plans.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive project development documentation, including reports, schedules, risk registers, and decision records.
  • Ensure that all planning and definition deliverables meet standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Capture lessons learned from each stage of development and recommend improvements to enhance future project planning and governance.

About The Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent, with professional qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the downstream Oil & Gas industry, with proven involvement in Front-End-Loading (FEL) stages of project development.
  • Familiarity with Project Management standards or certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of downstream O&G operations and engineering.
  • Experience in managing projects using Project Management or similar methodologies, preferably at a mid-level position.
  • This position is only open to Malaysian nationals.
  • Willing to be based on-site. Location to be disclosed upon successful shortlisting
