Job Description

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading transformation and technology projects across their full lifecycle, ensuring they meet business goals, comply with governance standards, and deliver value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning

  • Define project scope, schedule, risks, resources, and communication plans.
  • Develop project plans based on business cases or approved scope.

2. Project Execution

  • Create and manage detailed work plans and schedules.
  • Assign roles and responsibilities across internal teams and vendors.
  • Track progress, risks, and issues using clear metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM).
  • Drive resolution of issues and manage project changes effectively.
  • Complete project closure and handover to relevant teams.

3. Post-Implementation

  • Establish ongoing support models.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and share key lessons learned.

4. Change and Risk Management

  • Lead status meetings and problem-solving sessions.
  • Proactively manage risks and ensure clear, timely communication.
  • Secure stakeholder buy-in and keep sponsors engaged throughout.

5. PMO Governance

  • Follow PMO standards and frameworks.
  • Define and document project roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree in IT or related fields. PMP/Scrum certifications preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in IT project management.
  • Experience with system implementations (e.g., AS400, insurance POS, portals, Data Lake).
  • Domain knowledge in insurance, big data, cloud, AI, or automation is an advantage.
  • Experience in managing teams and Agile projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with full RFP processes is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficient in Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Stakeholder management and negotiation.
  • Budget and cost management capabilities.
