Key Responsibilities
- The Project Manager shall be accountable for successful end-to-end delivery of the project, including timeline, quality, cost, and business readiness outcomes.
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of a large-scale core banking system harmonization initiative.
- Establish and maintain project plans, governance structure, and reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate and manage multiple vendors, system integrators, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the review and validation of the Business Requirement Specification to ensure clarity, completeness and feasibility of business requirements.
- Review user training plans and activities to ensure training readiness and effectiveness.
- Oversee core banking implementation activities including data migration, parallel run, cutover, and go-live.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to Steering Committee, senior management and Board oversight.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support post-go-live stabilization, knowledge transfer transition to business-as-usual operations.
- To document a comprehensive project manager assessment for project closure and post implementation review purposes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in IT project management.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as Project Manager for at least one Core Banking System implementation or major upgrade.
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-vendor projects with long durations.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory environment.
- Hands-on experience using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management, governance, and reporting skills.
- Dedicated to the project and available onsite throughout the project duration.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, system integration and complex environments.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE Core Banking System.
- Experience in data migration, parallel run, and cutover activities.
- Experience managing projects with duration of 1824 months.
- PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with financial institutions in the ASEAN region.
