Project Manager

Location: Bangi, Malaysia

Duration: 1-year extendable contract

Locally available candidate in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia will be preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the banking domain to lead and deliver complex technology and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in loan origination systems, core banking platforms, hybrid cloud implementations, and digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across banking technology initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Manage digital banking transformation programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including business users, IT teams, vendors, and regulators to align project objectives with organizational goals.
• Drive requirement gathering, functional and technical documentation, UAT/SIT cycles, and go-live readiness.
• Establish and monitor RAID logs, governance frameworks, and compliance checkpoints to mitigate risks.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and steering committees, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Mentor and guide cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 5–10 years of project management experience in the banking/financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of loan origination systems, core banking platforms, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in project management frameworks (PMBOK®, Agile, Scrum) and tools (Jira, HP ALM, Confluence).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Certifications such as PMP®, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or ITIL are highly desirable.
