Job Title: Project Manager for Network and OT transformation
External Consultant Project Manager, Managed Platform (Global Rollout Program)
Program Context
The Managed Platform forms a central pillar of customer global Plant Upgrade / IT-OT Modernization Program, delivering standardized, secure, and supportable edge infrastructure across production sites.
This platform hosts OT workloads such as SCADA, CTD, and other plant-level applications and is integrated with centralized 24/7 operations, monitoring, and backup services.
Role Purpose
The consultant will serve as the project manager and rollout coordinator for the Managed OT Platform workstream.
The role ensures consistent planning, deployment, and governance of the Managed Platform across all plants in scope, aligning execution with the overall Plant Upgrade program, security standards, and central IT operations frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Global rollout leadership Plan, coordinate, and track the deployment of the Managed Platform across all regions, ensuring adherence to reference design, architecture standards, and program milestones.
Project governance Establish and maintain rollout governance, progress tracking, and reporting to the central PMO, including schedule, risk, issue, and dependency management.
Cross-functional alignment Collaborate with regional project teams, engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations groups to ensure smooth site implementation and handover to support.
Vendor and partner management Coordinate with external service providers responsible for hardware supply, configuration, and support integration.
Operational handover Ensure each site's platform is successfully transitioned to 24/7 central support, with all required monitoring, backup, and documentation in place.
Continuous improvement Identify rollout bottlenecks, process inefficiencies, and technical risks, recommending corrective actions and contributing to global template enhancements.
Compliance and readiness assurance
Required Experience
Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or OT/IT convergence programs, ideally across multi-site industrial environments.
Strong background in program or project management, with a focus on global rollout coordination and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Solid understanding of OT infrastructure, edge compute platforms, virtualization, and backup/monitoring solutions (e.g., Rubrik, Cisco, VMware, CTD).
Familiarity with ITIL
Additional languages (e.g., Chinese) are an advantage.
Engagement Details
Duration: 12 - 18 months (possible extension through full global rollout). Duration based on calendar year with rolling annual renewal.
Location: Remote with potential periodic travel to customer main office and key plant sites.
