Job Summary
The Project Manager, Strategic Policy & Sustainability manage and execute strategic policy and sustainability initiatives by translating organisational and national policy directions into actionable plans, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and independently representing MRANTI in working-level external engagements.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute policy and sustainability initiatives aligned with MRANTI's strategic objectives and relevant national policies.
- Translate strategic guidance from the Senior Manager into operational plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Independently represent MRANTI in working-level engagements with ministries, agencies, industry stakeholders, and partners, including managing follow-ups and commitments.
- Prepare policy briefs, discussion papers, reports, presentations, and official correspondences for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse policy, regulatory, and sustainability developments relevant to MRANTI and provide timely inputs and recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs from internal divisions to support policy positions, submissions, and engagements.
- Supervise, guide, and review the work of the Analyst, Strategic Policy, ensuring quality, timeliness, and capability development.
- Support sustainability and ESG-related initiatives, including documentation, tracking, and reporting inputs, as required.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in any field
- Postgraduate qualification in Public Policy, Sustainability, Economics, Public Administration, or related disciplines is an advantage
- 810 years of relevant working experience in policy, sustainability, government relations, strategy, or related fields
- Proven experience engaging with government agencies and coordinating cross-functional initiatives
- Policy Coordination & Execution: Strong ability to coordinate and implement policy initiatives in alignment with organisational objectives and national frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Representation: Ability to independently manage working-level stakeholder engagements and maintain effective professional relationships.
- Strategic Analysis & Advisory Support: Strong analytical skills to assess policy implications, evaluate options, and provide sound recommendations to senior management.
- ESG & Sustainability Knowledge:
- Sound understanding of sustainability principles and ESG concepts, including familiarity with relevant national and international ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements, to support implementation and coordination activities.
- Project & Programme Management: Ability to plan, manage, and monitor multiple initiatives concurrently, including scope, timelines, and dependencies.
- People Supervision & Development: Ability to supervise junior staff, review outputs, provide guidance, and support capability development.
- Digital & Productivity Tools: Requires proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications, as well as familiarity with commonly used collaboration tools such as Zoom and Monday.com.
