Project Manager - Software Asset Management (SAM)/Flexera implementation

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: KL Malaysia

Duration: 6 Months (can extendor convert depending on performance)

Job Description:

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager with a strong background in Software Asset Management (SAM) and hands-on experience in Flexera implementation. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful deployment of SAM tools and processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive compliance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage SAM/Flexeraimplementation projects from initiation to closure.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.

Coordinate with technical teams, vendors,and business units to ensure seamless integration of Flexera tools.

Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and status reports.

Ensure adherence to software compliance, licensing policies, and audit readiness.

Drive continuous improvement in SAM processes and tool usage.

Provide training and support to internal teams on Flexera and SAM best practices.

Track project KPIs and ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

58 years of experience in IT Project Management, with at least 3 years in SAM/Flexera projects.

Proven experience in implementing and managing Flexera One / FlexNet Manager Suite.

Strong understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, etc.).

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with ITIL processes and service management tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in large enterprise environments.

Familiarity with other SAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM, Snow Software).

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
