Protege, General Underwriting Portfolio Management

Kick-start your career in the insurance and takaful industry with Etiqa's Protégé Programme. We are looking for analytical and detail-oriented individuals to join our General Underwriting team and support portfolio management initiatives through data-driven analysis and insights.

What You'll Do

• Perform portfolio and financial analysis across General Insurance/Takaful products.
• Analyze trends, performance, and underwriting results to support business decisions.
• Assist in managing large datasets and preparing reports for management review.
• Support strategic initiatives within the General Underwriting function.
• Work closely with stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Insurance, Risk Management, IT, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Candidate

• Actuarial background.
• Knowledge or exposure to Insurance/Takaful and IT-related disciplines.
• Passion for data analytics and portfolio management.
