Be part of our PROTG program! Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneur (PROTG ) is one of Maybank Group's Corporate Responsibility Programme in support of the Government's initiatives to enhance the employability of unemployed graduates.

Job Responsibilities

Graduated selected for the PROTG will undergo twelve (12) months learning on the job experience with Maybank.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor the performance and condition of data center physical infrastructure, including power distribution systems, cooling systems, environmental controls, and security systems, using monitoring tools and visual inspections.
  • Incident Response and Resolution: Respond promptly to alerts, alarms, and incidents affecting data center operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and restore service. Coordination between IT asset owner, colocation provider and escalation hierarchy in solving all incident.
  • Routine Maintenance and Inspections: Perform routine maintenance tasks and inspections on data center equipment and systems according to established schedules and procedures within Maybank Data Center white space area.
  • Equipment Installation and Decommissioning: Assist with the installation, and decommissioning of data center hardware, including servers, networking equipment, storage devices, and other IT infrastructure components, following manufacturer guidelines and data center house rules and standard operational and safety protocols.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of data center activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, equipment inventory, and security logs, and generate regular shift reports for management review.
  • Customer Support and Communication: Provide timely and effective communication to internal and external customers regarding data center operations, service interruptions, and planned maintenance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Stock and Inventory Management: Conduct counter checks and update the master list for cabling (fiber/copper/SFP/etc). Perform weekly on-site checks at the storage area for stocktaking/extraction or update the master list when there are changes in the physical stock.
  • Ticketing: Create, follow up, update and resolve all HPSM (internal) and INC (external) incident/change ticket created under the ticketing tools

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar fields
  • Not attached to any company for more than 12 months
  • Highly developed proficiency in English
  • Excellent at articulating information in both writing and speaking
  • Positive attitude and ability to approach adversity with growth mindset
