Job Purpose/Overview:
- Drive Health through Nutrition mission and transfer Royal Canin Nutrition Knowledge to distributor and customer.
- Develop collaborative relationships with customers through identifying joint business opportunities via increased product distribution, stock weight and merchandising excellence.
- Manage sales operation (sell-in and sellout) and develop business plan to accelerate sales growth and deliver KPI which contributes to overall growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning & Strategy
- Drive customer in-store fundamentals with excellence focusing on assortment, promotion, planogram and visibility to drive sellout.
- Execute trade activation plans with excellence with distributor and customer.
- Plans and execute product listing and distribution expansion for new and existing customers to improve assortment and active customer based.
- Conduct thorough evaluation of key initiatives and big bet activities to assess their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and follow through on periodic customer coverage plan and distributor visit.
- Build and sustain good customer relationships to gain support, loyalty, and advocacy.
- Deliver education/ value-added services to customers with the aim to improve the wellbeing of pets via Royal Canin Health Through Nutrition ambitions.
Customer & Distributor Development
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers and distributor assessing risks and opportunities with data and sales analysis.
- Collaborate with distributor on sell-in planning, demand forecasting, order fulfillment, and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels following aligned KPI.
- Work closely with distributor to improve logistics and delivery performance, to ensure high customer service level with minimal later deliveries and dropped orders.
- Achieve and exceed KPIs through consistent delivery including Net Sales Value, Active customer, Product distribution, Inventory management and Service level.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
- Graduate of a bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong background in managing retail channel. Experience managing distributor will be added value.
- Excellent oral and written communication in English. Fluent in local dialect would be added value.
- Excellent communication skills with good verbal and written language.
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Able to establish good relationships across all levels including externally with both distributor and customers.
- Strong commercial acumen with good negotiation skills.
- Experience in pet food industry, specialized channel & vets has added value.
- Excellent understanding of product knowledge, background in nutrition and/or veterinary medicine is an added value.
- Possess valid driver's license and willing to travel within Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei.
