Job Description:

  • Lead the creation of high-quality communications materials, including press releases, official statements, media responses, key message documents, speeches and executive talking points.
  • Serve as the quality gatekeeper for high-risk internal and external communications, ensuring message clarity, tone, and alignment with brand values across teams.
  • Assist in managing incidents such as regulatory issues or operational emergencies by providing timely responses to protect the brand's reputation.
  • Monitor media coverage, social media, public sentiment, and industry trends to identify potential risks and provide real-time updates to the management through periodic reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in planning, executing and coordinating events, including press conferences, media briefings, and community initiatives including managing stakeholders such as media representatives, participants and partners as required.
  • Build and manage relationships with media, industry associations and regulatory bodies to strengthen brand credibility and build strategic partnerships
  • Support in any marketing initiatives as required, ensuring that PR and event strategies are integrated into the wider marketing calendar.
  • Track and report PR performance and post-event impact with data-driven insights to optimise future initiatives
  • Maintain media tracking databases and campaign wrap-up documentation.
  • Prepare actionable insights for management to refine strategies across future PR campaigns and event executions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Journalism experience in fast-paced or logistics-related industries preferred.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Track record in media relations and issue/crisis handling and familiarity with social listening tools and platforms.
  • Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
