As the Purchasing Assistant Manager, you will work with a team of engineers to deliver new technologies to customers by developing high-quality features.

You will play an important role in:

People & Team Leadership

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate purchasing staff to enhance performance.

• Foster collaboration across planning, sourcing, PJM and quality teams.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Procurement & Demand Management

• Oversee ERP/MRP-driven purchasing activities and ensure timely PO releases.

• Track lead times, expedite critical orders, and escalate risks proactively.

• Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions.

Supplier Relationship & Quality Management

• Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reduced liabilities.

• Partner with suppliers to improve on-time delivery (OTD), and responsiveness performance.

• Collaborate with QA to resolve non-conformities and drive supplier improvement programs.

Inventory & Risk Control

• Monitor stock levels, enforce FIFO, and maintain contract/safety stock balance.

• Reduce excess inventory and contract liabilities through demand forecasting.

• Implement strategies to minimize buy-back risks and optimize working capital.

Strategic Supply Chain Contribution

• Align purchasing strategies with global sourcing initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for digital procurement, automation, and analytics.

• Support sustainability and compliance goals in supplier selection and management.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and procurement tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing or sourcing experience, preferably in
  • manufacturing or technology sectors.
  • Leadership experience in supervising a team is highly desirable
