Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and components.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to purchasing and supplier performance.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and performance metrics to management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to purchasing and procurement.
