Job Description

Sourcing & Supplier Management:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and selection.

Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality.

Develop and maintain a list of qualified suppliers for different categories of materials and services.
  • Procurement Process:

Receive and review purchase requisitions for materials and services needed for construction projects.

Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Ensure that all purchased items meet the specifications required by the project and comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Negotiation & Cost Control:

Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.

Monitor and control costs to ensure purchases are within the budgetary constraints of the project.

Track market trends and keep abreast of new products and services to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Inventory & Logistics Management:

Coordinate with the warehouse and project management teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

Manage logistics related to the transportation of materials, ensuring compliance with regulations and project timelines.
  • Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and analysis as required by management.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and align procurement strategies.

Provide regular updates on procurement status, potential risks, and mitigation strategies to relevant teams.
