QA Engineer (Automation First)

Role Purpose: Ensure releases are reliable through risk-based testing and robust automation. Make releases boringly safe with high coverage, low flake, and fast feedback to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain automated test suites (API/UI/E2E)
• Integrate tests into CI pipelines for rapid feedback
• Manage test environments, data, and fixtures
• Perform non-functional testing (performance, accessibility)
• Report coverage, pass rates, and release readiness

Preferable Experience:

• 3+ years in QA with automation tools (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium)
• API and contract testing experience
• Test data management and CI integration
• Experience building test frameworks from scratch
• ISTQB certification beneficial but not required
• Only Malay Nationals will be considered

Success Measures:

• 80% regression automation coverage on target services
• Escaped defect rate <1% of releases
• CI feedback on PRs consistently <10 minutes

Salary Range:

RM 78,000 - 130,000 per year + competitive benefits package included

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid working model)
