Role Purpose

The Quality Assurance - Data Collection is a management role responsible for overseeing the team of Data Collectors, ensuring that quality and output of data collection meets the requirements of the client. This role requires a strong, practical understanding of data collection requirements and processes, along with the leadership skills needed to guide and train the Data Collector team as required.

Following initial client-led training, the role is responsible for delivering hands-on training to new Data Collectors, providing continuous coaching, answering data collection questions, and making final decisions where interpretation differences arise, ensuring consistent and accurate application of data collection standards.

No prior domain knowledge of the data that is being collected is required.

Key Responsibilities

Data collection understanding

●      Maintain a standard of understanding of how to collect data that aligns with client expectations.

●      Ensure that all Data Collectors are trained to and maintain the standard of data collection set by the client.

●      If there are disagreements between Data Collectors then these should be settled by the QA.

Client Relationship Management

●      Work closely with the client to ensure training and ongoing data collection is to the standard required of the client.

●      Be the principal point of contact for any matters around data collection and action any necessary training and guidance of Data Collectors ASAP and report back to the client.

●      Proactively monitor data collection output and report any potential concerns to the client.

Leadership of Data Collector team

●      Direct line management of the Data Collector team.

●      Effectively lead and manage the Data Collector team by clearly communicating expectations and measurable performance metrics.

●      Train and continuously guide Data Collectors, working with each of them until the data is of the quality that is expected.

Data Quality & Delivery Ownership

●      Own end-to-end accountability for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

●      Ensure delivery against agreed SLAs and report regularly to the Team Leader

●      Continuously assess quality of data collection and implement corrective actions with specific Data Collectors where necessary

Skills and Competencies

Essential

●      Proven experience leading teams in a data, operations, or service delivery environment

●      Experience reporting to senior leadership

●      Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills in English

●      Excellent time management and organizational skills

●      Numerical literacy with the ability to interpret and explain performance data

●      Computer literacy with basic understanding of working with spreadsheets

●      High attention to detail

Desirable

●      Advanced understanding of spreadsheets

●      Background in data collection, data operations, or data quality management
