Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

• We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to guide and scale our testing efforts for critical software and custom applications developed across teams.
• In this role, you will take ownership of the team's QA strategy, delegate testing deliverables, and drive the implementation of robust API and UI test automation frameworks.
• You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside developers, product managers, and business partners to ensure exceptional product reliability, performance, and data integrity.

Job Requirements:

• Lead, coordinate, and delegate daily testing deliverables across team members to align with project milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for QA initiatives, effectively communicating test strategy, status, and risks to stakeholders.
• Work closely with business partners, product owners, and developers to establish API testing best practices and resolve technical blockers.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for APIs using RestAssured and Cucumber (BDD).
• Implement UI automation scripts using Selenium and modern framework standards.
• Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous execution and feedback loops.
• Perform end-to-end, functional, non-functional, black-box, white-box, system, and exploratory testing on APIs and custom web applications.
• Author, review, and maintain structured test plans and detailed test cases directly within JIRA.
• Trace and log defects in JIRA, working alongside developers to investigate, isolate, and validate bug fixes.
• Document test strategies, best practices, and team workflows in Confluence.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Experience: 7+ years of hands-on software QA testing experience with proven team management or lead capabilities.
• API Testing: Demonstrated expertise in API automation using RestAssured and Cucumber.
• UI Automation: Hands-on experience developing UI test scripts using Selenium.
• CI/CD & Tools: Direct experience integrating test scripts into continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins.
• Agile Management Tools: Mastery of JIRA (for test management and issue tracking) and Confluence (for documentation).
• Methodologies: Expert knowledge of QA methodologies, including exploratory, functional, black box, and white box testing.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting testing status to non-technical business partners.

Preferred:

• Prior domain experience in the Retail Industry.
• Hands-on testing experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and integrated terminal software such as Oracle Xstore.
