We are currently hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Automated Tester to support global IT delivery and follow-the-sun operations across multiple business domains.

Position: Quality Assurance (QA) Automated Tester

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Experience: 02 Years (Junior) | 26 Years (Mid) | 6+ Years (Senior)

Methodologies: Waterfall & Agile

Industry Preference: Banking / Finance / Insurance

Notice Period: 30 days or less preferred

Must-Have Skills

Proven experience as a QA Automated Tester or similar role

Strong understanding of automated testing concepts

Hands-on experience with test automation for web and API applications

Good communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment

Primary Skills

QA Automation Testing

Selenium

Gherkin / Cucumber

Java (preferred)

Automated API testing

Test framework development

Version control systems (Git)

CI/CD integration and continuous testing

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills

Angular or Cobol exposure

Performance and load testing tools

Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments

ITIL certification

Experience supporting follow-the-sun delivery models

Role Summary

You will be part of the IT quality assurance function, supporting global IT delivery by ensuring high-quality automated testing across applications and systems. The role involves close collaboration with developers, business teams, and global IT stakeholders to improve test coverage, automation maturity, and overall software quality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform automation testing activities for web and API applications

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts

Build and enhance automated testing frameworks

Set up and configure continuous testing processes within CI/CD pipelines

Ensure quality of testing for all delivered developments and upgrades

Collaborate closely with developers and business teams to understand requirements

Provide accurate effort estimates for testing activities

Report defects clearly and support development teams in resolution

Prioritize testing tasks and meet delivery deadlines

Drive continuous improvement with a strong automation-first mindset

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related field

(alternative learning paths such as bootcamps may be considered)

02 years (Junior), 26 years (Mid), or 6+ years (Senior) of QA / automation testing experience

Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with developers and business stakeholders
