Role Summary:
Primarily responsible for managing product documentation of the BTP (Build To Print) products manufactured at UCT sites. Activities involved coordinating customer changes & related communications within UCT functional groups.

Primarily responsible for managing product documentation of the BTP (Build To Print) products manufactured at UCT sites. Activities involved coordinating customer changes & related communications within UCT functional groups.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish a strong focus on internal factory interface and external Customer/Supplier interactions
- Product support via direct communication with Sales, Manufacturing & Customer on production documentation issues
- Coordinate technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as required
- Review product documentation during/after release to production
- Pursue and support cost reduction activities to achieve established company goals
- Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of revision controlled technical documents as required by UCT procedures
- Be accountable for the maintenance of the company's engineering controlled documents as they relate to the designated product lines
- Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECO) applicable to product line responsibilities
- Ability to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction, and work as part of a team
- Ability to work within strict deadlines
- Capability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple products
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve manufacturing related issues and have a thorough understanding of Assembly, Test & Quality methods
- Coordinate efforts to address component obsolescence
- Work with account managers and operations staff to help with production deliverables.
- Working knowledge of business processes in Contract Manufacturing of configurable products
- Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills & good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Customer service oriented
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel & MS Project
- Able to work effectively with operations and other groups towards delivery and quality goals.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years relevant experience
- Experience in equipment assembly/test and engineering work
- Excellent Visual ERP system/Excel/Access management skills
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent with technical experience
