About the role:
The quality engineer ensures supplier and incoming material quality through inspection, analysis, and compliance management, driving continuous improvement and adherence to international standards.
Responsibilities:
- Involve in new project and transfer project qualification activities. Responsible on Incoming Inspection, Instruction preparation, part first article inspection, capability study, measurement system analysis and PPAP packages.
- Provide training to quality technicians and inspectors on Incoming inspection methods and criteria.
- Coordinate nonconforming incoming part (MRB) and incoming part related product control and failure analysis and follow-up corrective and improvement plan.
- Compile Supplier and Incoming Quality report and lead the internal and customer quality review meeting.
- Handle customer complaint and conduct failure analysis related to supplier and incoming part. Response and follow up on supplier corrective action and improvement plan.
- Coordinate RMA activities and sorting/ rework activities with supplier and customer.
- Responsible for customer process audit, NPI qualification audit and customer system audit related to supplier and incoming quality.
- Responsible in Engineering change order, coordinate purging activities and monitor on documentation revising related to supplier.
- Responsible in supplier quality management and development as per procedure requirements that includes and not limited to supplier qualification and performance rating review.
- Manage Mineral Compliance (Such as ROHS, REACH & others) from supplier and internal to fulfill customer requirements.
- Other responsibilities are subject to the arrangement of the immediate superior/management.
Requirements:
- Possess at least bachelor's degree in engineering / technology (Mechanical/ Manufacturing Technology).
- Required skill(s): Minitab, 8D report writing.
- Knowledge in Mineral Substance Compliance (ROHS, REACH & Others), QC core tools, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and IATF16949 Quality Management system, GD&T, measurement equipment (CMM, OGP, VSM & Others) methodology, PPAP, FAI, CPK, MSA, FMEA and control plan is essential.
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in Quality Assurance function.
- Able to comprehend and interpret GD&T part drawings and technical instructions.
- Self-motivated and self-discipline.
- Proficiency communication skills and able to work independently and as a team player as well as interact with people at all levels.
- Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is preferred for effective communication with stakeholders.
