Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking high-caliber professionals across multiple seniority levels in Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration, and Commercial Management to support major property development, EPC, and commercial infrastructure projects across Malaysia.
Key ResponsibilitiesJunior & Senior Quantity Surveyors:
Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimation, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender document preparation.
Oversee site measurement, sub-contractor evaluation, variation order (VO) claims, and interim payment certifications.
Monitor project cost control and final account closing with main contractors and consultants.
Lead end-to-end commercial operations, procurement strategies, and financial reporting across major township, high-rise, or EPC projects.
Manage contractual risks, claim management, extension of time (EOT), and dispute avoidance/resolution.
Oversee sub-contract awards, vendor negotiations, and budget allocations to ensure profitability.
Provide strategic direction and oversight for departmental contract administration policies and standards.
Act as the final escalation point for complex legal/contractual negotiations, dispute resolutions, and risk management.
Direct multi-project commercial functions and align contract governance with corporate business goals.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or equivalent. RISM / CICES / RICS accreditation is an added advantage.
- Experience Required:
Senior QS: 4 – 7 years of hands-on experience handling end-to-end post-contract and pre-contract work.
Commercial Manager/ Senior Manager : 8+ years of commercial management experience, with a proven track record leading teams on major projects.
Head of Contract Administration: 12+ years of senior management experience directing contract administration and commercial operations.
- Skills: Strong familiarity with PAM, PWD, CIDB, or FIDIC contracts; proficient in CostX, Glodon, AutoCAD, or MS Excel.
- Key Attributes: Excellent commercial acumen, sharp negotiation skills, strong leadership capability, and high attention to contractual details.
