Quantity Surveyor

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for railway-related construction, upgrading, and maintenance projects. The role includes evaluating contractor proposals, performing cost analysis, and monitoring project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets. The Quantity Surveyor will assist in contract administration, including progress payment certification, variation order evaluation, and final account preparation. The role also involves collaborating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams, maintaining accurate cost records, and providing regular financial reporting to support informed decision-making.

• Candidates should possess strong cost estimation, measurement, and budgeting skills related to civil infrastructure or railway projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in tender documentation, contract administration, and evaluation of variation orders and claims.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in quantity surveying software, MS Excel, and other relevant digital tools for cost analysis and reporting.
• Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering to optimize project costs and outcomes.
• Candidates should possess effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities in a project-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline; professional accreditations or registration is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in infrastructure, rail, or transportation projects is preferred; familiarity with Malaysian regulations, standards, and procurement practices is beneficial.
