Job Description

Teras Impiana Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project costs, preparing tenders, monitoring budgets, and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. In this role must deliver accurate cost management, maximise project value, and help projects finish on time and within budget, working closely with the engineering and project teams.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine quantities and project costs.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender submissions, cost analyses, and project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and cash flow throughout project execution.
  • Evaluate and certify subcontractor progress claims and payment applications.
  • Prepare and manage variation orders, final accounts, and cost reports.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and project records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure effective cost management.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in JKR & JPS Tenders
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in Civil engineering, M&E, or construction projects.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts, tendering, and cost control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and quantity surveying software.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
