Job Description

The Contracts Officer is responsible for supporting contract management functions. Ultimately, you will assist the Senior Contracts Executive/Contracts Executive in monitoring all aspects of contractual matters while ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating contractual risks.

You will be responsible to:

  • Assist in preparing contract cost analysis, plans, and breakdowns.
  • Prepare and compile tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and work programs.
  • Source and evaluate subcontractors for tender participation.
  • Assist with tender calling, evaluation, and preparation of tender reports.
  • Conduct measurements on drawings and prepare bills of quantities.
  • Compile Letters of Award (LoA) and Supplementary LoAs.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure document accuracy and compliance.
  • Evaluate Sub-Contract Variation Orders and Extension of Time claims.
  • Monitor project timelines, cost impacts, and respond to correspondence.
  • Track data and key contractual issues for management reports.
  • Address contractual and cost issues, escalating as needed.
  • Monitor subcontract milestones and prepare Interim Payment Certificates.
  • Assist with upstream claim submissions and prepare Sub-Contract Sum Accounts.
  • Maintain professionalism in dealing with internal and external parties.

Qualification:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent fields
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a contractual environment related to construction, engineering and infrastructure works.
  • Proven experience as an Officer specialising in quantity surveying and contract/claim management or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing claims for various Sub-Contracts.
