Job Description
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mobile application development, preferably within a commercial, service-based, technology vendor, banking or financial institution environment.
Strong experience in application development with a clear understanding of digital solutions and Consumer Banking businesses.
Experience with development tools and practices covering code review, build, packaging and deployment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and work with complex technical specifications.
Experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary and matrixed environment.
Experience developing digital banking, financial services or eCommerce applications will be highly advantageous.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas:
Mobile Development: React Native, iOS, Android
Frontend: ReactJS, Next.js, TypeScript, Angular 2+, HTML5, CSS
Backend: Java/J2EE, Web Services, RESTful APIs, JSON
Full Stack Development: Experience is highly advantageous
Digital Banking UX: Good understanding of mobile and web user experience
DevOps & CI/CD: Strong experience with CI/CD toolchains and DevOps practices
Microservices & Kubernetes: Experience will be an added advantage
Databases: MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access
Software Engineering: Object-Oriented Programming, SDLC frameworks and development methodologies
Automated Testing: Experience with tools such as JMeter, TOSCA or equivalent
Experience with application build, packaging, deployment and code review tools.

Kubernetes/containerised environments

Banking security, governance and regulatory requirements

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical information to both business and technical stakeholders.

Results-oriented with strong analytical, critical and strategic thinking abilities.
Comfortable working across multiple teams and stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
