A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Receptionist, you are the first point of contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at the manufacturing site. The role ensures smooth front-desk operations, maintains accurate visitor records, and supports site security procedures while providing professional administrative assistance to internal departments.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Receives and directs visitors, employment applicants, salespersons and customers to appropriate locations and parties
- Typically operates a single or multiple position telephone system
- Maintains a visitors log and issues badges when necessary
- Notifies personnel of visitor arrival
- May perform related clerical work such as word processing
- May use company intranet, paging or other computer-based systems
- Additional duties may include filing, sorting, mail distribution and completing special clerical projects
Skills You Bring:
- SPM or equivalent
- Requires a minimum of 1+ years of general clerical experience, reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills
- Use of software applications or spreadsheet applications may be required
- Good communication skills required
- Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
- The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Operates in a professional office environment
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Noise level in the work environment is usually average
