About the role
Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad is seeking a talented and driven Regional Agency Manager to lead our Southern/Northern/East Coast Region team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for driving the growth and performance of our agency force, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure regional and national agency budgets are met through proactive performance management, strategic planning, and targeted interventions.
- Monitor sales targets and financial KPIs across regions, implementing corrective actions and growth strategies to meet or exceed expectations.
- Conduct monthly Leaders Meetings and eFTA sessions with agency leaders and agents across all regions to align on performance, strategy, and development goals.
- Deliver impactful business presentations to agency teams nationwide, translating performance insights into strategic direction and growth opportunities.
- Present monthly at BDMC meetings for the region, in collaboration with the CEO, CSO, and senior management, ensuring strategic alignment and execution excellence.
- Lead regional discussions in weekly Sales Strategy meetings with Family Agency management to drive performance and foster cross-regional collaboration.
- Participate in OPC (Operational Planning Committee) meetings to contribute to company-wide strategic initiatives and planning.
- Engage with potential insurance/takaful leaders from various regions and companies to explore recruitment opportunities and expand the agency's talent pool.
- Design and implement strategic and product campaigns tailored to regional needs, boosting engagement and sales performance nationwide.
- Participate in testing cycles for Family Agency products to ensure market readiness and relevance across regions.
- Lead reviews and enhancements of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate in new product discussions to align development with agency needs and market opportunities across all territories.
- Actively participate in CFRC meetings, contributing to governance, compliance, and strategic risk management across the national agency network.
- Led regional sales and operations across Tied Agency, ALC, and IFA channels, including end-to-end agency operations such as IT systems, claims, and product development.
- Designed and executed sales campaigns aligned with Family Takaful goals, while organizing national contests and budget planning sessions to drive performance.
- Acted as a key liaison in CFRC and OPC meetings, contributing to compliance, strategic alignment, and company-wide planning.
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in the insurance industry, preferably in a managerial or leadership role
- Proven track record of successful team and agency management, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of the Southern Region insurance market, including competitor analysis and customer preferences
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with agents, customers and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in data analysis and using insights to drive business decisions
