About the Job

The Regional Director for the Central Region is responsible for driving overall regional bancassurance performance, strengthening strategic partnerships with OCBC Bank, and ensuring bestinclass service delivery across all branches within the region.

This role provides strategic leadership to a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs), ensuring robust sales governance, strong partner engagement, and the execution of enterprise-wide bancassurance strategies.

The Regional Director plays a pivotal role in expanding market presence, deepening bank relationships, and building a highperforming, futureready sales organisation that consistently delivers business growth.

Regional Sales Leadership & Strategic Target Delivery

  • Lead and drive overall sales performance for the region across both Advisory and Credit business lines.
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly business plans to achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Analyse performance indicators, identify growth opportunities, address regional gaps, and steer the team toward sustained productivity improvements.
  • Champion sales discipline, pipeline management, and structured performance tracking across all teams
  • Support BDEs in improving productivity, conversion quality, and branch engagement activities.

Strategic Partner Management & Engagement

  • Serve as the primary regional liaison for OCBC and other partner banks.
  • Strengthen executive-level relationships with regional bank leadership, branch managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Oversee the delivery of structured training, product briefings, advisory coaching, and capability-building initiatives across all partner branches.
  • Drive joint planning, co-creation of campaigns, and execution of strategic sales initiatives (including joint sales) with bank partners.

Customer & Partner Service Excellence

  • Oversee high service standards in addressing customer and banker enquiries across the region.
  • Ensure timely escalations handling, issue resolution, and end-to-end case management to support a seamless bancassurance experience.
  • Uphold strong advisory principles by ensuring bank frontline teams receive the necessary support to recommend suitable financial solutions to customers.

Leadership, Talent Development & People Management

  • Lead and inspire a team of Deputy Regional Directors and BDEs to build a high-performance, banker and customer-centric culture.
  • Guide development plans, succession planning, field coaching, and competency enhancement for all regional team members.
  • Implement structured performance reviews, coaching frameworks, and capability-building programs aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Deploy manpower strategically across branches to maximise coverage, productivity, and partner support

Governance, Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with bancassurance governance frameworks, internal controls, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on sales performance, regional trends, competitor insights, and customer feedback to senior management.
  • Supervise operational processes, audit readiness, and adherence to sales and conduct standards across all regional teams.
  • Lead or support special projects, pilot programmes, or organisational initiatives that drive operational efficiency and business transformation.

Strategic & Ad Hoc Responsibilities

  • Represent the region in management meetings, cross-functional committees, and interdepartmental initiatives.
  • Undertake strategic assignments and organisational priorities as directed by senior leadership.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within the region.

We are looking for people with

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 1015 years of relevant experience in bancassurance, financial services, sales leadership, or partner management.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and driving regional-level sales results.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategise, analyse performance trends, and implement high-impact business solutions.
  • Strong customer focus, with sound knowledge of financial advisory principles and insurance solutions, including High Networth customer segment solutions.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work beyond regular hours when required.
