Job Description
1. Ecosystem-Centric Strategy:
- Develop and own the ecosystem partnership roadmap with a dedicated focus on enhancing CIMB's Payments, Collections, and Working Capital offerings.
- Identify and prioritize partnership verticals (e.g., e-commerce platforms, logistics networks, procurement software, large anchor corporates in key industries) that present the highest potential for embedded financial solutions.
- Define clear commercial objectives tied to payment volumes, collection efficiencies, working capital deployment, and client acquisition.
2. Partnership Execution & Solution Integration:
- Targeted Sourcing: Proactively target and engage potential partners whose platforms are critical nodes for business payments, receivables, or supply chain activity.
- Structured Solutioning: Design partnership models that integrate specific CIMB products:
- Payments & Collections: Embedding real-time payment rails, bulk disbursements, virtual account solutions, and digital checkout/collection links into partner platforms.
- Working Capital: Embedding supply chain finance, dealer finance, dynamic discounting, and invoice financing directly into ERP, procurement, or marketplace workflows.
- End-to-End Launch: Lead commercial negotiation, legal contracting, technical integration (via APIs), and joint go-to-market launches, ensuring solutions are seamlessly embedded and operationalized.
3. Portfolio & Performance Management:
- Own the P&L impact of the partnership portfolio, closely monitoring key metrics such as payment transaction volume, collection efficiency gains, working capital facility utilization, and net new client onboarding.
- Conduct deep-dive business reviews with partners to optimize flows, explore new product embeddings, and resolve operational frictions.
- Foster a community of partners to explore networked solutions (e.g., connecting a marketplace with its sellers working capital needs).
4. Internal Collaboration & Leadership:
- Serve as the bridge between the partner ecosystem and internal product teams for Payments, Collections, and Working Capital, ensuring partner feedback directly influences the product roadmap.
- Lead a cross-functional Ecosystem Council with Product, Technology, Implementation, and Risk teams to prioritize integration pipelines and accelerate time-to-market.
- Evangelize the ecosystem strategy internally, equipping sales and relationship managers with compelling narratives and client success stories.
5. Market Intelligence:
- Maintain authoritative knowledge of trends in embedded finance, B2B payments digitization, supply chain transparency, and platform economics within ASEAN.
- Provide thought leadership on how ecosystem models are reshaping traditional transaction banking.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Technology. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years in transaction banking, corporate banking, fintech, or strategic partnerships, with a demonstrated deep expertise in Payments, Cash Management, Trade, and Supply Chain Finance products.
- Proven Track Record: A history of executing partnerships that directly resulted in increased payment flows, automated collections, or deployed working capital solutions. Experience with API-based banking and platform integration is essential.
- Ecosystem Network: Strong existing network within relevant ecosystems: ERP providers (e.g., SAP, Oracle), B2B marketplaces, large corporates in retail/ manufacturing, and leading FinTechs in the payments & working capital space.
- Commercial & Technical Acumen: Exceptional negotiation skills combined with a solid understanding of technical integration principles (APIs, data security, cloud platforms).
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and adept at navigating matrixed organizations to drive complex projects to completion.
