About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated
Regional Head, Retail Distribution (Southern) to join our team at RHB Asset Management. In this role, you will be responsible for driving Unit Trust business growth across the Southern region by developing and executing effective distribution strategies, strengthening relationships with Institutional Unit Trust Advisers (IUTAs), and expanding market opportunities. You will work closely with distributors, business partners, and internal stakeholders to enhance product offerings, drive sales performance, and strengthen RHB Asset Management's market presence.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan and execute effective marketing strategies and business activities to achieve IUTA KPIs and Unit Trust sales targets within the Southern region
- Manage and strengthen ongoing relationships with IUTAs to foster strong partnerships and enhance business collaboration
- Conduct and participate in product training sessions, workshops, seminars, roadshows, market chats, and tea talks to improve distributor engagement and business relationships
- Ensure IUTAs receive adequate support in product knowledge, customer service, and sales-related activities to maximize business opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product development initiatives to enhance product offerings and meet distributor needs
- Gather, analyze, and interpret market intelligence relating to industry trends, competitor products, distribution strategies, and other relevant market developments
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to maintain competitiveness and grow market share within the IUTA business segment
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the IUTA business across the Southern region
- Monitor business performance and provide regular updates and progress reports to management
- Drive sales growth and distribution effectiveness through continuous engagement with key distributors and business partners
- Develop, coach, and build a high-performing distribution team capable of delivering sustainable business growth
- Ensure business activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Unit Trust distribution, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Retail Investments, or Financial Services
- Strong understanding of Unit Trust products, investment markets, and the Malaysian asset management industry
- Proven track record in sales management, distributor relationship management, and business development
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing sales or distribution teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and develop actionable business strategies
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Results-driven, highly motivated, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry practices relating to Unit Trust distribution and investment products
